Bannon was released from FCI Danbury after reporting July 1 and serving the four-month contempt sentence. The same day he returned to his War Room broadcast and urged turnout for Trump, calling himself a political prisoner. Release completed the custodial punishment; it did not vacate the convictions or show that the prosecution was legally retaliatory.
