- Amnesty International: The Hidden US War in SomaliaKey findings: five strikes, 14 killed, eight injured
- reported
Amnesty assessed 14 civilian deaths and eight injuries across Farah Waeys (October 16, 2017), Darusalaam (November 12), Illimey (December 6), Gobanle (August 2, 2018) and Baladul-Rahma (December 9). It considered US responsibility most plausible at Illimey; AFRICOM denied a matching strike there and disputed civilian casualties in the other four.
